Been up f o r e v e r working on this project for Econ and I’m kind of maybe almost done(?) No matter what, in an hour I need to go to bed so I can be alive for my two finals tomorrow and to turn this damn thing in. And in 24 hours I will be FREE and it will be summer and it will be good.

Hobbling around campus with a torn up leg because I wiped the eff out on my way back home last night. DAMN YOU MUDDY, SLIPPERY STREETS OF NEW ORLEANS.

Can we just talk about the fact that I’m writing a paper about cultural authenticity in New Orleans and its exploitation for tourist purposes and I go onto the Wikipedia page for the French Quarter to look up a term and this little warning pops up:

I kind of wish formals in college were more like my high school proms. “Real” dates are dumb, how about we just dress up, get drunk and dance alot?

Listening to the Glee cast Pandora station while doing your homework is strangely kind of empowering.

I’ve been sitting here for the past couple hours working on my research project about Providence and watching the livestream from the RI House vote on marriage equalty. Feeling like SUCH a Rhode Islander today and I don’t even technically live in that state. (Only by a difference of like three miles, but still.)

I’ve been sitting here in my disaster of a room for the past hour trying to will myself to clean it, but all I want to do is keep drinking wine through a straw and watching Gilmore Girls from under the covers.

How to Succeed in College: Major in a thing that you could rant about for hours upon hours on end in real life so you can pull off writing an A+ paper the night before it’s due with minimal actual research.

Officially declared my major/minor this morning and I’m feeling a little bit like Pinocchio when he became a real boy.

I just want ALL of the internships.

Just officially sent in my first internship application!

And with that, it’s probably time to go to bed. 

It’s been awhile, so here are some things.

• Mardi Gras was awesome. AWESOME.
• Even though now I feel like death because bucketloads of alcohol and walking over twenty miles in like five days and I basically feel like my body is falling apart.
• STILL WORTH IT
• Spilled soda all over my computer last week and lost all of my notes and assignments, no big deal but basically I’m an idiot and shouldn’t be allowed near technology.
• So… yeah, not at all excited for midterms next week.
• But WAY too excited for big/little week! My little is really wonderful, and I’m so thrilled to get to share my love for Phi Mu with her.
• Can’t decide if I want to cut my hair or keep growing it long, though it doesn’t really matter since I’m way too poor anyway. 
• Drunk dialed for the first time last night and had an awesome conversation with one of my best friends from high school. Realized how much I love our friendship and getting to talk with her about the weird shit that goes on inside our heads.
• Like, we can relate on almost everything and she’s really the best.
• Actually I’ve really been missing all of my FRCS family lately and I cannot freaking wait for next month when the Three Amigos visit me in New Orleans/I get to go home for spring break!
• Also, Vagina Monologues is so so soon and I’m getting really excited. Been thinking a lot about how different I was, or at least felt, this time last year and I feel like this show was a really important thing for me to do. 
• You guys, I’m just really happy with things and excited for what’s ahead. We’re only two months into 2013 and I can already tell that it’s going to be the best year.
